My Dad has just scrapped a 214 with 154K on the clock the engine was still good it just needed a new clutch and after a month of being sat on the driveway the starter motor sized.

I just went down my local mg-rover dealer and the touch up pen was about 5-6 pounds. Had no problems.

No the garage I am having the engine fitted with needs a 1.6 k series for a customers car and are having no luck so I said I would try and help.

I was wondering if anyone new of any places to try to find a engine from within a couple of hours of Bath/Bristol area.

The engine needed is a 1.6 k series engine.

I normally do the same as MGjohn turn the pump gun to about the 11 o clock position and i have no problems normally. It worth a try.
