A fantastic day had by all methinks! Was great to see some big torque machines on the rollers. They seem like a good chaps, and were very accomodating with running the civic again! A few highlights I'd like to mention are Neils 'I-cant-beleive-its-not-petrol' smoke free diesel, G's V8 soundtrack, an...

Mk2 seats in a Mk3 - thats a very good idea! As if changing cars is less 'hassle' than swapping a seat cover! Yeah - whoever came up with that should go down in Rover fettling history, sounds the sort of guy who'd go on and built great things.... <cough>Phil</cough> http://www.fevvahz.co.uk/pic/car...

MG Rover tools...
Guys,
A while back someone posted a link to a supplier that supplies and lists all of the MG Rover tools referred to in the RAVE manual.
Does anyone know the name of the supplier or the url?

Dont the ZRs have shorter lower arms to correct the camber with the lower ride height too? No - they dont - that was an assumption based on the fact that ZR mk1 arms have a different part number than those from the mk3 200 and 25. The ZR Mk2 have the [b]same[/i] part number as those from the mk3 20...

Shot peening won't increase compressive strength at all though, so they won't be less likely to bend under compressive loads. Re: Buying a 220 Di
With a return to Uni looming, I can't afford the running costs of having a T-series Turbo anymore, so have been looking into the possibilities of getting a diesel. I've seen a 220di thats got me half interested. Its an 96 N reg, with 150k on the clock for £950. Ah - good find, but i'm sure you can...

Have a look on the passenger side column when you open the door, the plate is on there. The bottom right code should be paint. I bet is HAM : British Racing Green 2 MET - HAM (BLVC1216) Years: 95-99 ...is it the same colour as this: http://www.fevvahz.co.uk/pic/car/220sdi_05.jpg ...yeah yeah I know,...

Re: Law on rear seats
Hi All. Just to query really, if i had bucket seats in my car (again) and they weren't reclinable and had harnesses, so basically the seats in the back would be useless, how would the MOT see this? Phil (ultimate racer) has no rear seats and no seat belts and he went through the MOT fine. What woul...

You can also machine a set a fine grooves around the end of the pipes so that the hose can grip better when the clip is tightened. IIRC Jonny did this on the VT Turbo, good solution if you don't have access to a tig welder Ah good idea, didnt realise Jonny had done this. What sort of equipment woul...

...I was considering this route myself, but what about the boost pipes coming off under high pressure? Custom made ones tend to have, and I can never remember the name of these, like ridges around each end of the pipe. These and the jubilee clips make sure they dont blow off. This is especially of c...
