Re: isent ebay great
I've managed to pick up some bargins over the years, I bought a set of 5 spoke fox racing alloys for £74. The description stated that one wheel had some curbing damage which turned out to be a tiny scratch that was soon sorted. I plan on spraying them black.

E-Tec strut brace brackets
In the year that I've been off the road I've managed to loose one of the brackets for my strut brace. I don't need the brace it's self just the brackets.

Re: Bad drivers, everywhere!
Regarding zebra crossings, I think I'm right in saying that a driver only has to stop if someone is on the crossing, not if they're waiting on the pavement. The catch being that if they stepped out onto the crossing in front of you, you'd be a whole world of trouble. Taken from Direct.gov.uk 195 Ze...

Re: Bad drivers, everywhere!
An interesting point. By this are you suggesting perhaps that large mileage figures should be taken as experience, rather than more time on the road to be at risk, by the insurance companies? I think I ment something like that. I was typing it while on a conference call to our London office  O...

Re: Bad drivers, everywhere!
I tend to find that it's older drivers that are the worst, and as I'm 21 buy older I mean anyone over 30 :P I'm always giving way to other people and its always younger drives who give way to me. They might just think they're better drivers. I asked my dad if he would be interested in taking an adva...

Re: Bad drivers, everywhere!
I'm finding an increasing amount of foolhardy driving by women. Dodgy overtakes etc. The majority of the time if I'm being tailgated (whilst doing the speed limit), it turns out to be young women. I guess they've got something to prove in their hot hatch. The crazy thing is that if I increase my sp...

Re: Bad drivers, everywhere!
TBH all of the drivers from this mornings incidents were men, although I couldn't see the lorry driver but we'll make a safe assumption. I heard that if your over a certain age, like 70, you will have to re-take your test. Maybe they should introduce it to all drivers, so that you re-take your test ...

Provisional license NCB?
Can you earn a NCB while insured on a provisional license? The reason I ask is that my sister is learning to drive and she bought an old 1.1 diesel Peugeot 106 for £450. Shes insured through my mom as a named drive and I was wondering if it was worth her getting insured in her name to build up her N...

Re: 220 n/a - turbo conversion
The T25 was off a 820 with about 80k on the clock and the lump was from a 420 with aroud 60-70k. I paid £20 for the turbo inc the manifold and oil return pipe, and £50 for the engine, but I sold the head for £40 about a week later! I was thinking about stripping whats left of the engine, give it a g...

220 n/a - turbo conversion
I'm planning on buying a 220 turbo in the new year but I've come accross a 220 n/a in great condition, low miles and in the colour I want. My question is how difficult would it be to convert it to a turbo? I already have the following... T25 turbo (but needs a major referb) Heat treated exhaust mani...

Re: Insurance comparison sites...
Well Virgin won't give quotes on cars worth less than £1k so I've uped the value which might inflate the price slightly.
Quinn direct £1228.75 tp,f&t
When I got a quote for the cabby I added my mom on as a named driver with full NCB and clean licence, it went up by £79.
