empsburna feedback thread

I'll start this off for him as he was very speedy to settle a deal for my boost gauge that I put up for sale. Would certainly buy/sell with him again :)

Not tempted to have a dabble with a different marquee?? Yea i had an Astra Coupe for a month and hated every min of it. It was a minter with 60k on a W plate with full dealer history and 11 stamps in the book. I had it a week and the Air mass sensor went. Replaced that and the week after the altena...

They are all essentially the same design and construction from the varying 'manufacturers', but as has been mentioned Mark's TurboSmart versions look promising, especially for the price. Not so keen on having an in car MBC though as in theory the further you are from the actuator the slower reacting...

you're buying a car from someone without knowing what engine it has, and not only that, the seller hasn't got a clue either?? :? I personally wouldn't bother about the interior. Full leather is cr4p imo unless you have aircon, it looks ok, but it gets soooo hot in the summer on your back and donkey ...

200bhp is achievable easily enough at 7psi with a decent exhaust id say, I was very close, lets hope Welz can fly the flag for me and finish what me and Jonny set out to do :) Ad has pretty much the best manifold you can get for this particular application, you need to be quick off the mark when thi...

tbh halfords is ok, managed to track me a replacement wheel down when one was buckled which was cool. Tools seem fine too, Pro range sets are decent value for money. Not another one :| Surely it would be better just to buy a Turbo coupe and sell you 216? Remember your insurance is going to be pricey as it will be an engine swap

What have you done to the 216 that is all that special then?

my d16 sohc went at about 75k as toby knows, muchly due to the amount of high revs the engine saw under my ownership and a loss of coolant. All engines have flaws regardless of manufacturer and items like Headgaskets are just items that WILL need replacing at some point. I havent even attempted doin...

nah all they are interested in was who was to blame, still would have been ok if it have flipped tbh. Their main thing is personal injury. Typical whiplash settlement is £450 - £4000 iirc dependent on treatment recieved and how long it takes for a full reovery. All you do is ring the accident line...

andrew, did you recover the vehicle yourslef? ie with the RAC? this is the best idea if the car isnt driveable. It means YOU have the car and noone can take the vehicle without your permission. If someone has hit you, it will be settled as their fault. Take my accident for example, old lady drives i...

in bog standard form the coupe is a nicer looking car from any angle in my opinion. However when you see a nice looking hatch that has been fettled with eg Si, Jonny, Steve, C2k, NickC, it is apparent that the hatch does have a more aggressive stance, just look at the roof line from more of a front ...
