I didn't think spring manufacturers for these differenciate between saloon/hatch 3/5 door? I thought there was just spring across the range? to be honest I think I've only ever seen gmax -40 kits, but then I haven't looked any up for one of these for about 5 years! someone at some point has definatly given them a fettling with a grinder, its no big deal and if I didn't need the tow-bar I could probably live with the real low ride height!

just removed them from my tourer as they were too low for me. I'd guess they were originally 40mm drop but they've had a coil chopped off (not by me) so they give a silly low ride height. Still nice and secure in the shocker and perfectly safe. (in case the idea of cut springs worries you) for an id...

The lowering springs that were fitted to my car turned out to be cut as well giving a stupid low ride height. Possibility of a swop if thats your thing.
