Re: NFC to ACCEPT Contactless?
Set up bank transfers if it's the same people. Barclays app is so easy, my daughters have different banks and they do it all the time with their friends.

Re: Getting rid of scrap car
When I used to scrap old race car shells I would winch it onto the trailer, remove everything I wanted to keep, tow it to the weigh bridge and drive into the yard where the crane would grab it off the back and I would drive off to the weigh station and collect. Whether that still happens today is pr...

Re: Pride of Longbridge 2017....
A good turn out overall, some cracking cars on show on various stands. Took hours to get in! Could do with a smoother and quicker entry to the park. T16 wasn't happy, got maybe a fuelling issue, was predictable when driving so nursed it there and back. The ZS stand only had about a dozen cars, could...

Re: Pride of Longbridge 2017....
Got some better pipe and that was a tight fit, that blew off too! Regulator is busted. Time is against me. MOT expires on the 14th so not much room left to get everything done.

Re: Pride of Longbridge 2017....
No, hate missing it. Been under it all afternoon. Removed the whole system to clean the joints. However it is all stainless and have no MIG argon/co2 mix gas for the stainless wire. Had some argon so went to try that and the pipe joint blew off under the pressure, brown trouser moment! So contemplat...

Re: Pride of Longbridge 2017....
Oh well, exhaust is worse than first thought, every joint blowing and moving. It needs welding up as too many joints or get a custom one made. Don't have the time or money as committed to other things this month (DIY!)

Re: Pride of Longbridge 2017....
I took T16 in for its pre-MOT earlier. Failed on idle emissions and leaky exhaust. Exhaust being done tomorrow, idle emissions booked in next Friday, no point in me doing it as don't have the equipment to check etc. I was expecting more so quite pleased. They said it was chucking in too much fuel at...

Re: Skunk 2 Billet Ally Lower Control Arms - Group Buy
I have given mine a good look over and they look good quality tbh. No sign of anything to tell me they are sub-standard. No machining glitches or any signs of porosity through the whole part. If it was crap alloy then there would be signs as such. The bushes look genuine and could well be an older b...

Re: Skunk 2 Billet Ally Lower Control Arms - Group Buy
Wow what have I missed since I got mine! As you can guess I have not even got around to fitting mine. Interesting reading for sure and not really an issue is it chaps. Seeing that I have not stripped mine yet can anyone tell me what size the boss is across on the standard arm position? When the Skun...

Re: Skunk 2 Billet Ally Lower Control Arms - Group Buy
Well I got in from work last night, swmbo was having her hair done. So I took the offending box into the garage, out of sight out of mind, and she never said a word!
So when's the next group buy?
Thanks for your efforts on this, top work!

Great, just got two texts and a phone call from swmbo asking was I expecting a parcel? I said no, (COS IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SENT TO MY WORKS ADDRESS!) So I had to BS my way through that one! cheers bud!

Well done to her! I just got my daughter her second car, from a Citroen AX to a Zetec Fiesta, she only pays £68 per month and is 19. She has only 1 year ncb. No-one else on her insurance either. My missus took I think 4 attempts to pass and a fair few lessons, but then she was knocking on abit when ...

Not difficult when I have designed SRS airbag assembly and test cells, nuclear de-commissioning robots and 160 ton roll welding machines. A key fob would be a welcome change

Re: New wheeler dealer
I find some episodes helpful when Edd covers areas I have not done before like the bodywork and plastic repairs. Other than that it's hard to relate to some jobs when he has a two poster to play with and his mate on hand. Plus he makes it look easy, we don't see the assistance off camera that makes ...

Re: Thinking about buying a Discovery.
I have a '99 series 2 TD5 and have had it 3 years. It is on 149k and still going strong, manual box and no issues. In that time I have replaced the fuel pump and injection loom (usual oil in the ecu problem due to a two bob 'o' ring!) The rest has been consumables. I was going to sell it next year b...

Re: i need some cheap steel caged bearings for a 04 zrmark 1
No offence but don't say cheap steel caged bearings or that will be just as bad as the plastic ones! Just fit quality SKF or FAG ones, fit and forget considering they are not that pricey for what they do. Cheap Chinese ones are just not designed for longitevity as have seen these and they don't have...
