Rob - you could well be right mate. The new shape one will be out in December, so maybe when my three years warranty runs out I may upgrade

That blue EVO looks nice, but the problem is that I can afford the repayments on the loan no probs but with something like the EVO there is bound to be big running costs aswell. I do like the LCR, Chris's is very nice. But, I do prefer the look of the Octy over the LCR (each to their own I guess) an...

Wayne What about a new golf gti turbo 200bhp std, good handling and alround a good car apparently Way too expensive unfortunately. I have set my budget at 14k and I believe the Golf is around 20k - nice looking car though. Also, like the look of the new 250bhp Astra turbo (never thought I would say...

Gimme 10k and your car and I will make it fast and reliable

Good idea but I am past that stage now. I have done two 620ti's over the past 4 years, so it's time for something different.

So how long have they put the delivery date back to now?

Current build date is w/c 6th December (next week) so delivery is now likely to be middle of January

I think they can! They can also see what sorts of treatment you give the car when it comes to a service, I believe. Well that's ok, because I drive like an angel From what I have read, there is one remap that is undetectable (either AMD or REVO - cant remember which). But the Jabba remap is detecta...

Martin wrote:sharky620ti wrote:go with your missis's idea... get an evo

Agreed. In fact thats what you said - you didn't want an Evo because you wanted a warranty

Perhaps I should get the Skoda dealer to put in writing that they will honour the warranty if I get the remap done...

That's pretty much all I get from her still... "Get an EVO 6"

- apart from the occassional "What about an Audi?"
I would be lying if I said I didn't look at EVOs about 20 minutes ago on the trader

wait for the skoda!!! its different, better looking, more practical than an S3. A jaba sport Re-map does not invalidate the warrenty as jabba sport are very well known to the dealers.. more than half the dealers demo's are remaped from what i have seen/heard! I think the audis look to borring and a...

I have always liked Saabs. Main problem is the missus doesn't like the looks of them and I do like to make her happy She is the one who keeps saying get an Audi, she isn't keen on the Skoda or the responses we get from people when I say I am getting one Martin - I know, you are right mate. As the Skoda keeps getting delayed I seem to be getting itchy feet. tbh, I keep thinking that the first thing I will probably do is remap the Octavia - and then I'm going to invalidate the warranty anyway. So, why pay 14k on a car, with a 3 yr warranty when I'm just going to invalidate anyway So, be...

Rover has a history of buying a shitbox, sticking a bit of wood on it and selling it for three grand too much
I think that is very unfair!!!
I also think the press have a lot to blame for Rovers demise over the last few years...

What sort of journeys are you doing?
If you are only doing short journeys then at this time of year that sounds reasonable. You have to remember that when the engine is cold much more fuel is being used.

I have bought a number of products from Grant and I have always been very pleased with them. He also does cracking deals on the price, everything turns up on time and the after sales help is first class.
Keep up the good work Grant
