I think I'd be tempted to cut out some of the details on your earlier jobs. Just a brief summary of what you did and how long for. If the activities are not relevant to the jobs you are applying to, I'd leave them out. Maybe embolded each job title to try and break it up a bit. I love reading CV's b...

Car insurance difficulty

Hi all, I was hoping that someone who knows about insurance matters could give me some advice. A friend of the family (yes, honestly it's not me) has failed to notify his insurers that he has fitted aftermarket wheels on his Jag. It's a genuine oversight. He's quite old and not very sharp. Something...

Next time, just bid the maximum you are prepared to pay for the item. That way you wont feel bad if you lose out and the seller (in this case me!) gets more money!

£27,000 to £475 in 10 years!

To have their car allowance I have to go on their group insurance scheme which is restricted to cars under 6 years old. Either that or drive one of their company cars. In my grade that's a Pug 206 1.4 diesel :o The car allowance and the saving of free insurance makes it worthwhile to buy my own car....

Due to car allowance restrictions at my new job I have been forced to buy a quite new car. It's a shame really as I was more than happy with my Vitesse coupe. I got a 2004 Astra coupe turbo for £6500 with 71K miles. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v322/AlexC1981/Astracoupefront.jpg It's a little ...

I think the 75's retro design is quite cool.

Because it's old fashioned looking already, it should remain timeless.

I only have 2 doors so I usually find it easier to put things in the boot. It is a pretty big boot, but they really should have made the back seats fold forward for long objects. Do they do that on the saloons?

I am starting to wonder if we are all sticking our heads in the sand.

If Rover goes bust, where get our parts from?

Maybe I should have bought a Mondeo V6 instead of the Vitesse afterall :( , perhaps we should all get out before our cars become worthless.

The 600 doesnt have climate control, only aircon.

The full leather 800 has heated seats. Electrically operated with memory function.

I think there are a few other little things. Like the delay switch off headlamps etc.

They are only 170bhp anyway so they would struggle against an 820 coupe turbo, let alone a 220.

Anyone know how fast the 4x4 cav 2.0 turbo's are?

The recess on the right side of the pic is made deep enough to push both seat belt sockets it, so they all fit in ok.

The middle belt is standard, but its only a waist belt on the coupe. When you're not using it, it retracts itself and coils up away somewhere.

You get the full leather on the coupe, but no 3rd person 3 point seat belt in the back.

If you're looking for engine pics try searching on ebay.
