I think the idea of a generic map for the masses at a cost of around £250 is definatly the way to go. These would sell in volumes as most people are not spending £1000s on modding Rovers any more.

And the option of custom maps assesed by the individual cars specs and priced accordingly

Take the locking tool out of the cams and turn them as required.

They are marked exhaust and inlet and the cam gears are on dowls (should you want to remove them) so setting them back up when it goes back together is easy.

Deffo go with the Holts Rubber & Nylon lube.

Did you catch one of the brake discs back plates whilst changing the subframe ?

If so it could be pushed against the disc and scrapping hence the noise.

Gotta say though from experiance if you have hit something hard enough to bend a subframe i doubt thats al thats bent.

Bent shocker , lower arm , tie bar the list can go on.

You need to get it on a ramp and inspect it properly

Try removing both panels then removing the centre metal stanchion and turning it about front to back.
