these engines hold there money if they are in good nick due to the high demand.
i sold one about a year ago that needed a rebuild for £400

put a turbo lump in. should get a good spec one for about £1k

its an ivor searle recon engine. should be std spec. i've got a quikshift taipan sealed induction kit, 52mm tb, powerflow 2.25 bore cat back system, de bured ex manifold, and now its running a silenced de cat.

i would say go for the coupe.
they look better and are more desirable therefore better re-sale prices.
yes the 420 might be slightly faster but there is alot of mods available for the honda lump.

But seriously have you ever driven a turbo coupe?? they seem a bit lame in std trim as they dont feel as fast as they are. but a few minor mods will awaken the beast inside.

but it dont breath from the filler and dont smoke. a mate of mine brought a mk3 216 that smoked from the oil filler and that needed rings and liners.

when the engine is reved you can hear a knock from the bottom end. the engine still works fine. i'm guessing shells but it begs the question why? its only done 76000 miles.

how much would a vvc engine with a slight bottom end knock be worth? complete with loom, ECU, inlet plenium and everything attatched to it and exhaust manifold. all of a 97 rover 200 vi

i dont think my parents would want to sell it? its worth more to them than what its worth. just for the record its a 94' late spec tihiti blue 420gsi turbo. they had it from when it was just 7 months old and its done 90k. i dont think the turbo has ever done a complete revolution as they never used ...

just like to say that lexus is now part of the family. the 420 gsi turbo will now be made redundant and stood in a shed.i'll have to see if i can blage the running gear for my coop :roll:

the indicators are on the normal side on the lexus.
i'm not sure how many cars have them on the opposite side now.
