This article was also well publicised in Auto express....

One of the greatest survivors is the MK.1 Nissan Micra (1983-1992) where out of 341,000 sold here, 96,000 remain!!

Dont you think though that there seems like more than 21,000 metros still around?

Its the Fiat uno mk.1, not Tipo where 5000 are left. There are more Tipos probably due to its galvanised body.

There are still 24,000 MGB's left, out of 117,000 made.

I wonder how many Morris Itals are left though?

The 1,370,000 applies to the austin and rover metro, but not rover 100. Approximately 1,910,119 Austin and rover metros were made between 1980-1994. That 1.37 million is how many ended up in the UK. Tbh it seems that there are many more rover metros on the road than the figures suggest, or am I mist...

I admire the whole R8 200/400 series range in whatever configuration - it captured the imagination of so many buyers both here and abroad and it was unlucky to sell just short of a million (all variants) :|

It hasnt been sold yet, as it all depends on Ford's decision.

Ford themselves are in trouble with rumours of selling jaguar and Land rover as a unit - could this be intertwined with the rover brand sale?

Is it true that the cambelt has to be changed frequently on the Fiat coupe, or have I mistaken this to something else?

My favourite rover is any 200 (R3) or 25 derivative. You don't get a better supermini interior than in the 25, particularly so when the facelift interiors were introduced. The styling hasn't really dated and the K-series is as quick as ever! What 1.4 does 0-60 in 10 seconds ey? most trundle along wi...
