Should be good. They've got the money to develop new cars. If only that were true... ford are in serious money problems... lol  How serious are their money problems? They ditched the Jaguar F1 team and Ive heard they have made losses, but its such a large company Im wondering how bad it all is?

Thats good news, thanks Rob Current engine is fubard. Burns oil and rattles. When it gets hot it burns a lot. Especially noticable when sitting in traffic. It seems like its possibly burning a little coolant too, but not much as the level doesnt seem to be going down. Changed the turbo and its still...

How to tell if a T16turbo engine is a 200/400 or a 600/800?
Hi folks, Without taking the engine apart, is there any way to tell if its a 200/400 engine or a 600/800 engine with the other pistons? Does the engine number indicate anything? This is alledgedly, a brand new engine from Rover, would it still have the 200/400 pistons or are they all the 600/800 pis...

No worries mate.agw_01 wrote:Sorry to hi-jack your thread Dave, but what profile tyres are you running on your hairpins?
I'm on 205/50/R16 and they look huge... the tyres that is.
Running 215/40/R16 Eagle F1s
I think 205/45/R16 would be perfect as mine is a little low.
Handles like its on rails though.

Thanks for the suggestions, but Im not planning on running more power, just want the car to run properly and get me from A-B reliably. I guess the dilemma is, do I fix this engine or get a different one. There was a brand new one on ebay for £700ish a while ago, that would be nice. My worries about...

New T16 turbo engine
Hi all, It appears my 420T engine is interally fecked. I thought the oil burning and rattling was the turbo, but upon changing it the car is still bad :( Tomorrow Im going to see my mechanic and we'll check the plugs etc to work out whats wrong. Is there a place where I can buy a brand new engine? I...

standard is like 11.x psi... its modulated. generally, over time, the boost drops off due to turbo getting old, wastegate getting loose etc. the ECU doesnt run the boost in a controlled manner. Its not regulating or working like an AVCR, it simply provides a set amount of bleed off. It has no feedb...
