Ok chaps, the public arguing is going no where at the minute.

Its entirely up to you to to sort this issue, how you do it is up to you.

But lets stop the public bickering and take it to pm, or leave it to the legals.

Thank you :)

Come on lads.

In carls defence I did once forward him around £300 to pic a set of cams up his end for me and check them over before payment he did so and then posted them to me no problems.

Carl for the sake of £ 24 fire a payment over to him not worth the agro you two are both long standing members and this should not be happening.

I was recently tucked up on here thats a first in 10 years of being a member but that was from someone who had just joined luckily only for £7.

We all have issues in our life I have a lot going on in mine its not an excuse but allowances have to be made in the event of what happened to your little one sorry to hear that. This is clearly a break down in communication. What I would do in your situation Carl is be the man and refund him and the bits will be forwarded to you as that would be the right thing to do

Just my opinion

Your family and and responsibilities are only your own and are of no concern to the other party.

2 men do a deal, item doesn't arrive, one man refunds the other, that is as complicated as this should get.

Edward/Hodge, I think you have pressed too far by reporting this as a crime tbh, I would like to think Carl would have got you sorted eventually. It is not as if the prior feedback was not good.

A good opinion it is, the above is the best course of action and wraps the whole thing up.

As a reminder to all, Rovertech is a place for people with similar interests to come together and share information, dealings carried out over the forum between 2 users is done so at your own risk. Feedback threads are provided to assist you should you have any worries and the moderation team can only do so much. Bad dealings are nothing but reflections of the individuals involved.

The moderation team will not and simply cannot conduct and assist every single sale which is carried out over Rovertech in the classified section, if you do not want to risk getting burned, then simply do not put your p£nis in the fire. I am afraid it is as simple as that.

If we had not a classified section, people would ask for a classified section, that is why it is there, because people want it there, but be aware of the risks. I will not have an odd dodgy dealing on here representing Rovertech as the land of the outlaws. You are all individuals and in some cases (not this one) dodgy dealers.

I have been done over from people who frequent this forum, I could simply say I have got 'done over on RT' but no, I wasn't. I was done over by individuals who frequent other forums, they all frequent Tesco maybe, or Asda? and even the local pub down the street, they don't instantly become dodgy feckers the minute they sign up here!

No they may not I was not saying the site in general but was a member who tucked me up not RT.

Everyone should be cautious when dealing with new members as they don't have a track record. On the other hand over the years I have seen some well known a respected members tuck other members up for a considerable amount of money to everyone's shock.

I think all members realise that buying is done so at there own risk and the admin / mods have no part in it but on the other hand you as mods/admin should do something about members who recieve say 3 bad feedback and suspend there selling privileges to stop the chance of them offering other items for sale untill the outstanding disputes are sorted as I bet if you asked most people I bet they dont check feedback before conducting a transaction.

That sounds more like it, if people are willing to work together then this sort of plan can be achieved. I would also say you are correct and people do not check feedback. the bay of E should be good enough practise for anyone, always check the feedback, 9/10 it will keep you right.

I have heard that this transaction seems to be correcting itself and all parties will end up square. Expect this thread to be cleaned up in the near future to assist in future dealings. :)

To be fair to Carl he's said he sent the item as a standard parcel via Royal Mail.

Standard parcels do not offer any kind of tracking or number etc.

And an item is held for 18 days from the 3rd and final delivery attempt before it is returned to sender.

Hope this is of some help.
