Allanwarnock Feedback Thread

Post by Allanwarnock »

This is my Feedback Thread :)
I feel I have been very unlucky with sales on here.. Items damaged in transit, selling parts to people who don't understand English very well etc... Then there are the people who read feedback and join in to degrade the person even more.
All the issues I have had, I have resolved with either £ back or I have sourced parts and bought them to replace damaged items!
I can't do much more than that.

Bought an T28 from Allan, it was well packed, fast shipment only the turbo was crap (lot of play, smoke and leaks). Allan told me about small in/out play that should be fixed when the oil was in there. I wasn't thinking about axial play because he said the oil would be fix that (language barrier). The turbo would not smoke, but he did. But according to the man, which had sold the turbo to Allan, he would not smoke.
There was no room for refund or whatever. Personally I would feel very bad, if i accidentally had sold crappy parts to someone. And I would do everything to find a good compromise. But who am I? Very fuzzy story, just sucks. I would not do business with him again.

Im sorry you feel that way. I did tell you there was play in the turbo from the start. And that i had never fitted the turbo so i could not be sure of its health.
This was all explained to you before you bought the item.
Again, my appologies for your unhappiness.

Not a glowing report from me either, unfortunately.

Allan bought some parts I advertised but not after much messing. Initially he would take them but could I wait till payday. No probs, here's bank details, transfer money on payday. That day comes and goes then he contacts me and says can't do bank transfers but he can paypal straight away. OK, so send Paypsl details. Nothing for a couple of days and when pushed says he has a problem and will have to get his Mum to Paypal me the dosh.

This did come through eventually, but I wouldn't deal with Allan again. Too much hassle when there's far too many genuine guys on here.

Would agree with TTRW2.

Commits to buy stuff then blags you with reasons why he cant pay , then when chased ignored pm's , wasted my time wrapping some discs for him and taking pics etc..

Also likes buying stuff for dirt cheap on ebay and then selling it an extortionate prices on rovertech claiming they are items which they are not. I.E cookie downpipes which arent and are actually bent 2.25" custom pipes. Then middle braces and rear braces for ZR even though they are civic items clearly.

Do not deal tbh.

Dont cry.... i was needing brakes ASAP.. as you know! I even placed an order for the brembos, paid the deposit, then while looking for calipers i got an offer i couldn't refuse. 330mm HiSpec kit!!! So i bought them instead of your 'possibly dodgy' discs... why should i take risks with brakes off you??? AND IM THE ONE TO WATCH OUT FOR!!!

Also, you seem to be a nosey little cobbler... but if you had looked a bit further into my paypal transactions(which wouldn't surprise me) you would find that the 'dirt cheap' items were NOT dirt cheap and that you had made a mistake.

I have 3 witnesses to opening the jiffy bag, no broken pipe inside so it had to have been broken off before placing it in the bag and posting, how you could miss this is beyond me

This pic shows a replacement part to the left of the starter motor which is nothing like the one you sent me as its in the bin

I told you i had some cheap discs that were POSSIBLY warped but i couldnt test them and that if you wanted to give them a try you could have them for £30 posted, £12 postage. ZS discs for £9 a side good luck finding them new for that. There were other issues with the car and it was a gamble but all this was agreed with you and you were happy and told me you wanted them and that your payment was due over. Seems you couldnt afford them , or the brembos afterall.

Perhaps you need to buy some more generically engineered tat off ebay and sell it as cookie items for prices that that are higher than the new items by £50 in order to scrape the cash together :)
