Wax, which, when?

Post by Vard66 »

Hey guys.

I'm currently in the middle of T-cutting back the scratched to buggery lacquer on my new e39, and I'm looking to actually keep this in good nick - bit of a different direction after the olive green matte Astra, but hey.

Anyway, after cutting it back I'll be aiming to get a decent wax, and to keep it topped up properly.

However, it has been at least... well, actually, the last car I waxed was my 214, so that was 2008. That was the last time I dealt with auto wax, and I cannot recall anything about what's good and how frequently to apply etc.

So what's the deal with wax, which should I get, and how often should I apply it, and how many coats etc?

Just general wax advice basically please guys.

TIA
Vard.

Will look into it tomorrow if I've been bloody paid.

In related news, I had forgotten how much I hate polishing a car back by hand.
