Whats wrong with yours mate ? These rarely fail to the point where they cant be beaten in to repair.

It was seized so took the piston out to find the rubber boot that goes over the piston was also split, cleaned the piston up...its just the rubber boot that goes over the piston really that needs sorting, just not sure at all how to replace that.

The dust seal on the very outer edge ? or the actual piston ring seal ?

Oh mate dont replace it for that.

Get another from a scrap yard at worst, but imo put a load of vaseline around it and be done.

My front calipers came fron the factory without dust seals

ah right, i went to the scrapyard today and they were all in worse condition than mine so wasn't worth it...will try that then dude...cheers for the info
