Alloy Rad 620ti (radtec)

Post by David-Ti »

I missed out on one a while back that was for sale and probably a rare item in the grand scheme of things but thought I'd try my luck??

One of the Impreza ones is a very very close fit, I forget which. Have a look on eBay at the different ones is all I can suggest.

It's a very similar size, and the inlet/outlet are close to a TI's aswell. I'm sure the £300 price difference is more than enough to compensate for the minor pipework and mounting fab required.

Same thing with the intercooler, aftermarket Escort RS Turbo ones are almost identical, my friend had one and we compared them side by side.

I have the rs turbo intercooler on my ti - pics in my build thread. I've rerouted and welded the pipework to suit instead of dead straight out of the end tanks..

On the rad the only mod I can see that might need doing is the small water pipe but that wont be a major..

cheers

I had a RadTech 620Ti radiator in my 220, which Jase now has in his bubble. The quality is truly superb and I would recommend going the extra mile to buy one.

Aren't the radtec ones nearly 3 times the price of the impretza items? By all means buy a radtec one, but if the impretza one is the same size I don't see why you'd not use it.

For those who might be interested...

Although the impreza rads have a very similar to stock ti hose config they are 710mm wide which means if you plan to stick with a twin pass intercooler upfront you will physcially not have the room for the intercooler pipework..

Just thought I would share. :)

Sorry, no help in getting one but to back up Rob the rad he sold me is superb, it took 30c out of my water temps and is indeed a nice bit of kit. If your stressing your cooling they are well worth the £
In fact over autum I had bigger issues getting the water off the stat!
