Re: T16 cam sensor
seems strange they are so rare when many people claim the t16 runs perfectly without them

Re: T16 cam sensor
They do as long as crank sensor fine.
It's only used for sequential injection if inoperative it reverts to batch firing

Re: T16 cam sensor
Call me old fashioned but if it's suppose to have it I like to have it lol have ran it on just the crank just to check it. Think my parts supplier has managed to locate one (we shall see when it arrives, could just be a crank)

They got this one wrong somehow cross referenced it to a crank sensor, they do eventually find the hard to find parts for me though, will let you know next week

Have you had a chance to test whether this part works yet?roverdave wrote:Soooooooo I got lucky for some reason... turns out the jaguar 3.2 x300 CRANK sensor is the rover t16 cam sensorthere cheapest on eBay, I had one off my dads jag laying around and it's a perfect match.
Looking on eBay the do indeed look identical to the Rover part, but they're expensive enough at £55+ that I don't want to 'chance' it working.

Re: T16 cam sensor
Is this not a similar part, although possibly just using a 2 pin plug.

The centre pin on the sensor on connects to the cable screen anyway so could be easily modified.

Re: T16 cam sensor
Yeah that's what I have, it is only 2 pin , it fits in the housing as it should, I would send the one I have but might need it to get the jag running again lol

Re: T16 cam sensor
Are there any part numbers on your sensor?
I might try that cheap one for starters.
