620/820 clutch release lever
I am desperately in need of a clutch release lever from I believe a 620 or 820 for hydronic clutch. It should have a hole in the end of it for a pin to go through for securing slave cylinder to.
Thanks, hope someone can help.

Is it the same as an mgf? Lots of release arms on eBay.

Typical, that must have been then only rover I didn't look it up for! Even looked at freelancer! Just looked it up and yes, it looks right so I'll get one of them ordered up.Drew wrote:Is it the same as an mgf? Lots of release arms on eBay.

Thank you very much for that

Might be too late, but I think they're different. MGF one has a longer shaft and the arm is further from the gearbox casing IIRC.

Ah, well I've hit the MGF Arm now so I'll see how it fits possibility tonight.Mitus wrote:Might be too late, but I think they're different. MGF one has a longer shaft and the arm is further from the gearbox casing IIRC.

Re: 620/820 clutch release lever
Release lever fitted tonight as as mitue has said, MGF lever won't do as it steps out too far. Back to original request. Anybody got a lever for 620/820?
Thanks
Ben

No can do im afraid. It's on a maestro that has been converted to this style clutch and the slave is sitting as far out as it able to already. There is an engine mound in the way stopping it going further.Drew wrote:Spacer\washer under the slave?

Worst come to worst I might have to cut up this new arm I just got and fabricate one but ideally I'd like the correct one.
Re: 620/820 clutch release lever
Would the MGF bracket be of any use to you? Mounts to the front face of the gearbox and slave pushes towards the engine. Plenty of MGF boxes on ebay so you can see the setup, if you ask them nicely they might even sell you just the bracket...
Just a thought
Would mean rerouting pipework though
Just a thought

Re: 620/820 clutch release lever
It is a thought but bracket would need a lot of modifying to suet my mount on that side of the gearbox. Think it will be Easter to just shorten the MGF arm that I have by about an inch to bring it into line with the slave cylinder I have just now. Think that option would be the least amount of work anyway.

No, last owner did. But they kept the engine, box etc so didn't get the lever to go with the rest of the bits I have here for the conversion.

Not a lot of rover parts used there. Possibly be able to straighten that arm and have it fit!?

Re: 620/820 clutch release lever
No, it's been fabricated to fit a 600/800 lever. Your right, if the arm was perfectly strength it would be a perfect fit. It'll not be easy straightend out I don't think. No harm in giving it a go as it'll be better than cutting and welding. Might have to take it to work and use heat.

That will go easy in a large vice. 3mm mild steel by the looks of it.
