Re: help
I can never remember, but Montego engine was an O or M series turbo. Would've been on a dizzy, not WS.
You haven't got a duff coil pack have you ? Sorry unsure how you check it though.

Re: help
I would be gutted if I had a conversion and only pulled that, I imagine you may struggle to lose a 160 with the extra 70 kg's from the T series block over a k series.
I hope you source the fault though.

jonna wrote:running 13psi at inlet was serviced less than 5k ago with new timing belt i think it could be fuel related ?
If the timings out, retarded 2/3 teeth its going to cause huge fueling issues...
This was my problem
Oh and it was checked by 2 companies and a guy of here and they said it wsa fine, So check check and check again..
Lock the crank too..
As once i thought it was set up and right of the pulley marks, then rechecked a month later with the crank locked i was still a tooth out

Re: help
Last week i just put my Coupe on the dyno with my M/O combo engine in it (which had still only covered 550 km's) and that pulled 121 Kw at the front hubs.
Thats with a Gti-R T28 , Fmic with 2.5" piping and with standard exhaust and cat , The boost peaked at 12.6 psi then dropped to 10.5 - 11.5 PSI
The car is running FAR too rich as you can see my A/F is at 10.57 towards the red line
This is what my graph looked like

Re: help
Around 10:1 is apparently normal on MEMS
121Kw = ~163HP, which would be 190-200HP at the flywheel depending on transmission loss.
Considering you're not achieving 12psi at peak power that seems ok to me
What's your CR btw?

Re: help
Im not quite sure on what my C/R is because I didn't have enough time to test heads cc's , But the head had a light skim (I think the first ever), the block had 0.25" Thou off and the O pistons were kept the same just de-coked.
I'll check next time it blows a HG or when I next take the head off , Which hopefully won't be anytime soon.
Can't wait to stick 18 - 20 PSI though it especially with my headers, down pipe and full 3" exhaust (when I finally have time to put it all together)
