iv just been reading the the post meerkat buys a brm car number 771
a bit about the car ware do i start
engine bottom end has a knock on it come and hear it if u want
n/s has damage down full side
ware the tailgate bolts on is rotton lifted the tailgate this morning o/s bolts pulled out
it was also a cat c in 2010
the full car is not that clean
i won it on ebay if the brm lot was intrested in it why did they not bid for it i left a daft bid on never thourt i win it. never mind the almost 800 mile round trip too pick the car up
im getting slated for buying a car what no 1 els bid for
IF THE CAR WAS A GOOD 1 IT WAS GOING TO BE MY WIFES FIRST CAR ITS WHATS SHE WANTS
SO I CAN SAY I AM LOOKING FOR A BETTER 1 FOR HER I KNOW WARE THEY IS 3 MORE

iv stuck at what i set out 2 do trying to build a parts supply for later date
all cars are stripped 2 a bare shell then i get me saw out and cut repair lumps out off them
2 keep aswell i dont just bin them

I havnt seen it yet but apparently its a right mess, smashed windows, all panels kicking in, roof been trampled on etc..

Depends what the person wants for it, il obviously pay more than what the scrap man is gunna give!

Dude, where is the logic behind this?

Rather than trying to buy every single BRM on the planet for sale in search for a mint one, why dont you just spend your money on one of the BRMs you have already and restore that.

You seem to have the money and I'm sure you have a few contacts to strike a deal with.

looking for 1 will a good shell what has not been crashed at some point and rotton 4 off the 5 iv got 2 off them already in bits when got them the others 1 is a cat c and not v/clean wish i left it in devon only good thing about it is the head rests
v380 has had a smack in rear nice big hole left u can see ware they have had the chains around to pull out
m13 is not bad apart from sill and the rest off stuff wrong with it rear archs are good on it

im not a enthusiast off the brm only got 1 for the wife I THINK ROVER JUST WENT TO HALFORDS FOR THE TRIM
but got 5 now iv had to buy cars for spares BECAUSE dont know if any one will sell me parts
or deal with me after i got the first 1
i prob own more brms than any 1 now and will be growing
got new unit onway looks like 100+car parking spaces all inside with the right racking
some things i do need scaffolding boards for racking shelfs
pallet boxs 2keep stuff in safe
plus more pallet racking

Right guys there is no need for insults or threats - that's not the appropriate behaviour for RT thank you very much.

It is entirely up to meerkat if he wants to buy hundreds of BRMs it's his money.

However, James has been raised a good point- let's face it the newest BRMs are not a young car now, and they will all suffer from the usual problems.

The only exceptions are going to be really mint enthusiast's examples, and the reality is any sort of enthusiast is not going to sell it on the open market for a grand if they ever sell it at all.

If you have 5 of them I am absolutely confident with some time and effort you will be able to make one good one. I'm using only two and a half donors to make one good derv bubble so five would be a luxury!

Pick the one with the best shell and put the money into the bodywork then choose the best parts from the rest - IMHO if you do this you will end up with a nicer example than 95% of the standard ones out there.

In the mean time please let's leave this vaguely on topic, whatever the topic was...

i cant beleave how rotton they are dont know what rover did but out off all the zr,s 25,s iv stripped theses brm,s are dogs for rot
we are going to rape the best bits out off the cars and build a good standard 1 not modifide in 1 bit
it looks like not meny standard 1s left because most posts u read are about brm,s they modifide 1s
AND A enthusiast do,s not modifid the cars if they a rare cars worth more standard
all we need now is a good shell to start dont fancy spending weeks welding and getting it sorted for paint

and be4 any 1 says i cant weld i can 1 reson i stopped working in the body shop got sick off doing it and prepping cars for paint
