Anything else worthwhile removing ?

Post by PetrolMG »

As some of you i bought a BRM to salvage parts from for another project. I have removed all the interior, gearbox, cylinder head, VVC manifold, alloy wheels, calipers, alternator, starter, expansion tank bottle, handbrake cables and windscreen motor. While stripping down the car i was lucky enough to find £20 down the side of the centre console. I suppose that was the cars way of rewarding me for taking it out its misery.

Steering rack, rear beam with anti roll bar and the brackets/ mounts that holds the beam on. You should of just removed the whole engine instred of just bits of it. Wing mirrors if their electric. (I might be intrested in them) the front wings if decent or if the bottoms are good worth keeping for rear arch repairs which all bubble, 200, and zrs suffer with.

Theirs probably more but thats all i can think of. Id personally id keep it as water tight and rolling for just the little things.

Your head

Front bumper, door mirrors, block, ecu, engine wiring harness, brake master cyl and servo, abs module, front wings if in good nick, front grill, badges

Send wondersheep the vin number so he can update the records

At a stretch all suspension struts because its better than the tripe that's on the zrs

I am glad the so called "enthusiast" have stayed away from this. They really are a bunch of goats who like a good argument. I will inspect all the parts mentioned. As for the suspension, no i cannot be bothered. Wings are crusty.

When you think of it i am doing other owners a favor by making their cars rarer.

Did you supply Wondersheep with the VIN so we can update our records?
