Meastro T16 O-series thread

Post by Meccano »

I might have imagined it, but I thought there was a build thread for a t16 maestro, built up using o-series pistons achieving 400bhp plus.

I've searched every where but can't find it.

Can anyone point me in the right direction, got sod all to do at work today!

I deffo carnt remember that, theirs one with all forged internals running 330-350 if I remember correctly. I don't think o-series internals could handle 400bhp or not for very long any way.

Iirc you need to deck the block an awful lot to get a usable compression ratio, otherwise it's something ridiculously low. It would have been done a very very long time ago, so I'd suggest looking for posts from 10 years ago or beyond.

Charliecosworth is a member on here with probably the fastest (white) Meastro on this forum. There is a thread about but the pictures have been moved/deleted.

There was another one that I remember from a while back in Red but can't really expand anymore on that car.

Cheers guys.
Yeah it was the red one I remember. I've trawled all the way though the boards, but nothing stands out. ( I've got a lot of time on my hands a the moment)

Cheers Charlie, I'll kill some time reading yours :D

Didn't drew make one with prima pistons (not O series) that hit the 400's?

I might have been wrong on the power. But it was pretty impressive all the same.

Not sure, I remember it having a crank case breather setup, so possible it was an m-series block not t-16.
