How much is it worth?

Post by 200SEI »

Just out of interest, how much should my car be worth?

1994 L 216 Coupe
1600 DOHC Honda engine (Fully rebuilt)
SSAutochrome 4-2-1 manifold
Mongoose cat back stainless but no cat!
17" MilleMiglia Action Wheels
Interior standard cloth at mo
Lowered on G-MAX shocks/springs with PolyFlex bushes at front
Apart from the 40mm drop and colour coded grill the exterior is standard, standard rover spolier......

I know a car is never worth the sum of its mods but how much do you guys think its likely to be worth, it is in really nice condition with NO RUST anywhere, ive checked!

The reason i ask is because the old mans moaning at me, thinks im spending far too much on my car....

I guess he won't ever understand the need to MODIFY!

I'd say probably £1.6k - £2k. The lower figure as 216 coupes are dirt cheap now, and the higher one cos Coupe Turbo's are dirt cheap now (mostly)

HTH
Rover 214 Spi - gone
Triumph Dolomite Sprint - gone
Rover 216 Gti - scrapped
Honda CRX VTEC - back on the road
Mrk1 16v CRX - v nice

Its a different animal to a coupe T tho, the insurance is cheaper and to be fair, its prob quicker than a 220 Nasp coupe AND its got as good as a new engine, its a shame a car is never worth the sum of the mods! :(

Yeh, i totally agree with you. When I broke my car I sold the parts seperately for more than I could have got for them + car!

If someones looking for a minter then obviously they'd be willing to pay above average. :D

The cars very nice mate.

Agree with the above unfortunatly. Its easier to sell the car stripped than it is to sell it as a whole.

Hope you keep yours. Shame to see it sold or stripped.
