Full whack of torque from the moment he put his foot down - awesome! Pulls well all the way to the top, i couldn't be happier. Does it look pretty normal for a K? Haven't seen any other RR graphs from k16s.
129.7lb/ft torque, 134.8bhp @ the fly, 114.7 @ the wheels.
The non-vvc 1.8 is impressivly torquey for a unit that likes to rev. Our MGF is very easy to drive with no need to rev above 3k in normal driving, that torque curve is quite broad and flat, just got to find me a 1.8 for our Metro now
It's a standard solid-cam 1800 (118hp standard). I slapped an ITG element in the airbox with a better airfeed, a 55mm T/B, VVC inlet manifold, janspeed exhaust manifold, de-cat and cat-back system. Thats some good torque on yours for an 1800 k, which model VVC is it with what mods?
its an ivor searle recon engine. should be std spec. i've got a quikshift taipan sealed induction kit, 52mm tb, powerflow 2.25 bore cat back system, de bured ex manifold, and now its running a silenced de cat.
coupe 180
powerflow cat back system. 173.5bhp (engine advantages 12/12/04)

The 1.8 non vvc units are certainly impressively torquey, makes a great relaxed ride. They dont like revving as much as the 1.6 however they certainly dont object. Bet its ace in that metro.
