I have a 96, 620ti. I bought it after owning a 620sli for 2 months. The Sli was really comfortable, reasonably quick and it handled the road reasonably well.

So I got a modified 620ti, lowered 40mm, upgraded GT28rs turbo, dual piston dump valve, cosworth rear spoiler (Sapphire 4X4), which lifts the spoiler about 3 inches from the boot lid as apposed to flush mounted.

Love the car, real head turner when you give it a boot load. :D

Hi all, just to add I've got a 623iS and loving every minute of it but the 20(ish) mpg is really painful.
Best I've seen was 250miles for £30 this week as I get more trusting of it £35 has got me 160 miles and it's asking for more :o

Never mind, I love the fact it's a N/A and still does 0-60 in 8 :D

Ok, what with all these 600's here maybe someone can help me

I noticed the other day that the strip running half way up the rear passenger door is missing some paint :x
So I was wondering if anybody knows how to remove the strip so I can paint it up, I dont fancy painting it on the car you see as my spray painting is still not perfect yet.

If anybody knows how to remove the strip that would be a great help

Just thought I'd wing my details here too

M-Plate 620Ti still pre-64k on the clock. Fully serviced this week and we start modding 18th July - nothing too heavy as its still the original 'box, turbo & headgasket and it needs to stay that way for for the next 2 months!

Dark funky blue - no idea what colour it actually is :)
Link-road Specialist - Now with added fist-waving anger!

That got me thinking just how many of us are there!!!!!!

So if you owner a 600 would you please post a reply, just to see how many of us there are and why you all decided to buy the 600 or any other information you think would be useful.

Thanks

i was on the lookabout for a runaround as im selling my toy for a subaru and was looking at mr2s and the like when mule suggested a ti so i looked and found the one i have now n at the rate im going i think the ti may well and truly be staying and the money bein put into the engine. Am glad i came back to rovers now as ive owned 4 now and always regretted never getting a turbo...

I love the fact that absolutely noone suspects the ti most think its a taxi lol fun to drive and cheap to tune 8)

94 620ti (a red one, believe it or not)

Engine from around a '97 model.

Bought it cos my Saab turbo blew its gearbox, and needed £1440 repair to a car worth £700. Not economically viable. Also, I loved turbo power, and my mate knows how to tune these babies cheap.

So far, I'm impressed.........Boy racers in Saxos and clios...... I love the look on their faces in the rear view mirror. 8)

Very late in the day, but.....

A slightly modded 'R' plate Ti.

Had an 'L' plate 620GSI before that. For years i thought they were the most beautiful car on the road (apart from TVR Grffith ofcourse)

well defo seems like we are lovers of 600's i have the following

618i nightfire red smc lowered with body kit converted to 622 vtec
620 sli with the number plate L8TEX
623 gsi breaking which jyinx on the forum is breaking for me
half a 618i for the 622 project that I did

then there is everyone else in our 600 group i think there is a total of 14 600's in our group with lots of donar cars to keep us going so he re is a short list.

Just went with my mate to swansea on the weakend to buy the volcano orange smc spec fully loaded ti that was on ebay some weeks ago, new owner loves it well since we fixed the problems with it. well done mozza

then my other mate Nogel has a black ti, a red ti and his daughter has a black 620gsi. In his garden is a dead Ti and a 620 diesel

then theres howard with his caymen blue ti, dont worry bud, will fit your body kit this week end and hes one of the fastes in the group

Them my work mate has a british racing green 618i smc lowered with ti interior

my other mate well then some weeks ago we picked up a blue 618si for my other mate , which we have now put after market alloys on, full wood trim hopefully fitting full leather trim soon and he lives in that car now

then my other mate who first introduced me to the 600's has a silver 620 auto which has 17's and is standard but the ice un that car is spot on, he spent some money on that one.

then my mates mate has a flame red stock 620 sli

then my mate round the corner has a black 620 ti that defo needs some tlc as its a dog but its getting there

and my other work mate has a blue 620sli totally stock and he loves that.

then there is another chap whos in the army so i dont see him that much but he has a olive green ti full smc spec as well

We all live in southampton so if you see some modified 600's going round then its a safe bet that you know that we are part of a group who help each other out and go to hedge end for a laugh on the weekend and have tea at barrys.

if you have a modded 600 or even standard and are in the southampton area and want to meet pm me

A loving 600 owner fully converted will never look back

May be 1 of you coulod help me??????

About 2 days ago I tried to lock the car using the fob but the car wouldn’t lock or unlock, even thought the lights on the fob were lighting up. I locked the car using the key, walked about 10 yards and the alarm sounded, I went back to the car tried the fob and eventually it worked and Locked the car ever since then every time I lock the car either with the key or the fob the alarm sounds after about 10-30 seconds does anybody know what could be causing this? And where the best place to take it ?

Thanks

Sounds like it's got a bit confused. I'd disconnect the car battery for a couple of hours to let it forget what it has learned and then try it again.
