Cookie Racing -> Intelligent Tuning - Going into business

Post by Neil F »

Hi,

after a lot of thought, planning and soul searching, myself, Andy R and Clare are going to be starting up a new business "Intelligent Tuning", we will have premises (in the North East Wales/Chester area) with full facilities for carrying out all manners of modifications, engine conversions, nitrous oxide kit fitting and refils, gearbox replacements, sales of parts, servicing and repairs etc.

We won't be sticking exclusively to MG/Rover models, so would hope that we could be considered for all manner of jobs.

We will initially be running the business as well as carrying on our day jobs so will be in a position to offer out of normal hours services as well as full time at weekends.

We will keep everyone informed as we progress with the business but for now we would welcome any opinions or advice that you may have as to what services if any you would find useful and if you would consider making use of services offered.

One final thing, can anyone help us with a logo? We want it to be fairly simple and professional, this is the best I've come up with so far, good job I'm better with the spanners than I am as a graphic designer

Thanks

Neil

Great news Neil, Andy, Clare.

Andy had already let me know, and i'll be using you guys very soon ;)
best get reading up on brake conversions and Nitrous installs and custom exhaust for v8 mustang engine soon me old muckers, lol ;)
(Apparently the standard brakes aren't up to 260bhp, let alone 500+)

Bjorn is a good one for logos.....has done some awesome one's for me in the past, and enjoys doing them, so maybe worth dropping him a note.

Good luck in the venture. It's hard work being self-employed, but with Clare knowing accountancy and the graft you two put in on the evenings weekend allready, i'm sure it will be a rip roaring success.

All the best

Good Luck Neil, Andy and Clare, it will be hard work at first, but it will be worth it in the end. It was the best decision I ever made.
I am doing a sponsored bike ride in September this year, from Dublin to Cork. I am raising the money for SCOPE.

I would be very grateful if you would considering visiting my JustGivingweb page and sponsoring me.

Good luck with the venture.
You already have a brilliant reputation to build from.

I like the logo it looks very professional, and when put on cars, engines etc. it won't look to OTT.

I think a lot of people like to fiddle themselves, but almost no one can do their own rolling road tuning/mapping. I know I'll be stuck one day wondering where's a reputable place to go for this kind of thing. Guessing the outlay for equipment would be high though :(

I'm a bit far away to be taking advantage of your services obviously lol, but I'll certainly be keeping an eye out for parts etc that become available, looking forward to getting my downpipe in batch 2 for a start.

Not so much a logo but perhaps more for the cover of a catalogue.

Hi,

we're signing for our premises on friday, so chuffed with that :D

Open for business very soon :D

Smile, thanks for the logo, I like the background, not sure about the text and it is a little too banner'ish but I do appreciate the effort.

Bjorn, we like the general look, but not sure about the missing t, will pm you if thats ok mate.

BlueRover, I love that, spot on and what a car, would love to use something similar (possibly with Clare or Andy's car) as a front page to the website and on leaflets if possible? Just have patience with Clare's 25 it's going public soon

Cheers

I have time on my hands if you want me to do some for you. I don't live too far from Wrexham so I could even do the photo's for you as it's a new career move for me now, photography and all that. My best mate lives in Coed-Poeth and I visit him regularly so a slight detour is possible.
