Took this yesterday about half an hour before my car nearly ended up in a river.
After a little potter over the horseshoe pass and back to Wrexham, my mate sugggested we go and see the old lead mines and after going across the tops of the hills for ages we eventually got onto a narrow twisty road. We weren't going very fast, 25 mph at best when I had to avoid an oncoming Fiesta van driven by a farmer. I skidded on some wet mud and headed straight for him. I took my foot off the brake and narrowly missed him only for the nearside front wheel to drop off the tarmac and onto the verge, 12" away from a 8ft drop into a small river.
Close call and I was more worried about my mate going over with the car if I got out of my side of the car.

Gary, you are correct. It was like going back in time. I did a little paintshop work on the windows as the one nearest the road was boarded up. Also I cropped the image to avoid showing the pump next to the one showing which had been stripped of it's covers, exposing the innards. They did have padlocks on the holsters but they weren't fastened. I was almost tempted to get my mate to hold one in the fuel filler to look like he was filling it up. It would be worth driving 50 miles to fill a tank at those prices.
Punx0r, blame the Yanks for the fuel price hike. They want more so the price goes up. If it gets much higher, I think the fuel protests would be a good idea once more with everyone doing their bit.
