I ordered a new gear knob for my Ti and it arrived today. The original is on the left the new one on the right obviously its not the right one...
The EPC shows 2 different gear knobs but only one part number, anyone know what the part number is for a Ti gear knob and what car the new one is for??

That looks pretty similar to a Coupe one (on the right)
:
Well it looked a bit like mine before it had done 90,000 miles.

I've fitted an MG ZS leather gear lever knob to my 620tis. I like it. The one on the right does indeed look like the one fitted to my coupe...
The ZS item has the same thread as the original Rover one.

The new one looks the same as the early 2/400s size wise, however, they're plastic usually not leather covered
Ti one looks suspiciously like the 800 one too

Agree with Rob. The one one the left looks like an 800 and the one on the right is definitely a 200/coupe one as I recently binned mine in favour of a crome one. Big mistake!!! Don't buy chrome, buy carbon fibre. Chrome is freezing in winter and boiling in the summer

Perhaps I'll order one for an 800 then, the one on the right is definately listed for the Ti though, perhaps an error on the epc...

Double check with the 800 ones tho Ian, IIRC it was only the Vitesse sports and Sterlings that got the leather covered ones

Depends how old the car is/was. Most post 96 cars had leather gear knobs AFAIK.

Get a ZR/ZS one (they are the same) They are much better than any other Rover knob.
About £26+vat

Agreed as I had already mentioned that. The ZR/ZS gear knobs are often much cheaper on ebay.

Guys.
Looks like theres a F**K up on EPC. (when isnt there?)
I ordered part no:- UKJ100200PMP which is definately listed as the coupe gear knob in the 92-95 model (turbo version), and got the shorter one on the left which is the 600 model.
Punching the number into EPC thats pictured, comes out with the 600 part number.....
Donkeys, now ive gotta see if Rimmer Bros will swap my gear knob cos of a mistake on EPC.
Arrrrrgggghh Sometimes I wonder if Rover did anything right.
A rover on the road is worth 4 in the scrappie

It was lying in the showcase at the dealers together with the wooden one overhere. So they sold them as an optional also.
Job.
