Normally on a credit card sized bit of card with security information written on it, fits in a slot in handbook cover :)

If you're lucky it's on your security card but if like me, the previous owner didn't fill it in!!! Any other places we might find it???????????????

If you don't have it, Rover can supply it or someone like Lates can interrogate your car for it. We didn't get the code with t'other half's bubble so were royally screwed when the only remote we got stopped working.

No, it is the access code - the number on my tag is the same as the one on the card in the handbook. To get a key cut all you need is the red key. :)

You should be able to get them from a rover dealership. They may accept the new keeper slip instead of a V5 as proof of ownership.

Then why's mine different? :P The number on tag is same as number they've written on my security card for key number, which is different to the KAC number on the card, and, with mine being N reg, it doesn't have the red key :)

you may find you have got lucky with your KAC.
The number on the key is so a copy can be made from the number rather than make a copy.

If you have a mk1 I have some spair alarm unis.
