Decided, since its always too dark when I get home, I was going to change my dizzy cap and rotar arm during my tea break on my 620Ti
My hands are killing me now due to the way I had to hold the screwdriver!!
There has to be an easier way to undo the bottom screw on the cap without having the airbox and intercooler pipe in the way!!
Had to hold it in such a strange way just to undo and tighten it!!!
Did I go the long ar*e way round doing it or is it the normal way but always difficult?
Ok I did it in time and the revs seem slightly higher now, but only a tad and the arm looked a bit scored, and there was a part slightly shaved inside the cap, could that be a possible explanation for slight misfire? And I mean slight under heavy acceleration
Gotta be an easier way!

I drive a 1994 Rover 620 Ti, and my little toy, a Mk3 Honda CRX Vtec which is dead at the moment!

if the misfire is now gone then yeah.
for undoing the lower cap screw, i use an ingenious device from a screwdriver set i bought at the 24hour esso lol (its soo good infact i now have 2 sets)
its a foot long springy thing, like a huge universal joint, its perfect for doing screws in odd places. jubilee clips under the throttle body, actuator and dump valve jubilee clips are a thing of the past... Im sure you could get them from decent tool shops...

I dont know if its gone yet as I havent had a drive yet, but to be honest the cap and arm looked like they had seen better days, the cap had slight white marks inside and a bit of scoring
I wont be able to drive it till i finish work as I did it during my tea break which is only 15mins long and it took me about that, although some people may think thats slow lol!
Thats why I was asking that the condition of the cap and arm could cause a slight misfire...Its not bad, it dont go bang or pop, it just feels like its not getting a powerfull spark, my old Honda had it worse and it turned out to be the plugs were shot
