I used some bleach to great effect once.

Filled it and left overnight - worked a treat.

Dishwasher works as well

I used an old toothbrush that could be bent out of shape to get round all the corners in the bottle. Grime came off easily with hot soapy water, good as new in 15 mins :D

The best way is to soak it in bleach first then use and old winemakers trick. Fill it with water and put in a few handfulls of sharp small gravel. Swirl the gravel around the inside with moderate force in a continuous swirling motion. The gravel will scrape off all the mank.

Best way is to buy a new one, then as long as you maintain the car properly, it probably will never get rank again,

They are only about £20 odd new anyway. I bought one cos i was too lazy to fanny about with cleaning it and dishwashers etc!!!

well, i tried with boilng water and bleach, and it did sod all!

Anyway, it was helpful for me, as i got the system flushed and refilled with decent inhibitor, and its been all good ever since.

Plus the laziness factor.
