Shame its a mobile number as not sure where in the country it is, 120miles from Cardiff (they do include the bristol channel as road of course!).

The British racing green one is about 5 miles from me, in Feltham. It has been on the Autotrader site for a long while. It has also been on eBay at least once, where it failed to receive a bid.

I have a feeling I may have asked about the 'noisy tappets' (currently not mentioned in the Autotrader ad!) and been put off by the reply.

I cannot help but think that the car would have sold by now if the problem was minor.

The blue one does belong to someone here ... can't remember who, though.

Thanks to all who have replied, much appreciated indeed!
Special thanks to Craig, a great tip-off (asked seller of the BRG one about any known problems and said I saw a similar one (!) on ebay a while back with noisy tappets - "oh yes I suppose you could call them noisy". Not the end of the world but still, pretty dodgy simply for leaving it out of the ad).

Well played on the blue one too, it was one of those things that's like a hazy hangover memory - I knew I had seen it, and recently, but had not a jar where/when!

Was just looking through past posts - the BRG one is now Â£799 (4th one down) in case anyone was interested. Maybe a bargain if it's a cheap fix; or indeed if there's nothing wrong with it!
