Re: MGZS GU03KBJ
yea what is the story and what area bud
Re: MGZS GU03KBJ
It does not matter how well you think you know somebody when it comes to money trust nobody. The car could be in 2 areas Poole in Dorset and Bedfordshire/Hertfordshire.

Report it To police
How do you let someone drive off without paying

Re: MGZS GU03KBJ
I have reported it to the Police but as it is a civil matter which means it's down to me to try and get my money or car back. The law is such an donkey boy.

Any pics of the car could help?
Re: MGZS GU03KBJ
It's a Le mans green Atomix that has got straights and a piper back box fitted. It was last seen in Tring on the 23rd June.

Re: MGZS GU03KBJ
What date did he take the car? If it was last seen on 23rd June then I'd be inclined to reside myself to the fact it's long gone. It's either in bits and living on in the stolen 2nd hand car parts market, or it's anywhere in the country with a new identity.

Re: MGZS GU03KBJ
He'd have to be monumentally stupid to still be driving around in a stolen vehicle
He could have changed the reg plates though which would render looking out for it a tad pointless unfortunately.

Re: MGZS GU03KBJ
Here's a thought. Why don't we organise a mass Rovertech exodus to the guys house for an impromptu 'meet'!! Then take back what's rightfully Norfie's, before hitting the local town en-mass for some congratulatory beers, followed by an overnight stay in a B&B. A few hearty "well done" back slaps over a morning full English before heading our separate ways with suitable grins.

Re: MGZS GU03KBJ
if it was me, well i wouldnt be in this situation but if i where, and the old bill had said its up to me to sort it i would have taken the doors off at both adresses, go back to his mums and give her much grief im sure he will turn up sooner or later. good luck in your search

Re: MGZS GU03KBJ
Can we give up on the pointless threats of violence please guys. Turning a stated civil case into a criminal one and landing the OP in jail is not smart advice.
If he has the logbook then he still has a legal right to the car. If it was me, I would return the deposit and reclaim the vehicle, either with a spare set of keys or a trailer. If the car is parked on the road then there is no need to trespass either.
For proper advice it may well be worth consulting your local Citizen's Advice.

5 miles from tring if needed
Re: MGZS GU03KBJ
Just a quick update, as yet no joy on getting my car back. I have been to his address in Poole and he moved out from there sometime last year and debt collectors and baliffs have also been chasing him. His name is Peter William Gilmore so any information would be appreciated.
