:? is it possible to stop/or reduce the wind noise you get from the t-bar roofs on coupes when doin 50mph+?

+ does anyone have a miracle cure for stoppin the glass panels rattlin when there open?(apart from not opening em-or takin em out all together!)

First one... I found on my old coupe that a strip of foam under the "T" bar - like the draft stop on your doors did the trick.

Secondly - silicon spary stops squeeks! - rattels check that all the screws are done up

Also, for rattley targa roofs

Wrap a little insulating tape (or better still, self vulcanising tape) around the hinge spigots, where they fit into the slots on the actual roof.

Or... just turn the stereo up.

Am I the only person who doesn't really get annoyed with the noise?
Try driving an AX at 70. A coupe is silent after that.

I get hardly any wind noise from the targa roof but my passenger window isnt alligned right and that whistles if you dont wind the window down. I tryed a couple of times adjusting the window but each time ive just made it worse. Looks like the window leans away from the car a bit at the top.

Anybody know how to fix this?

Duck tape the panels from the outside :D
Its what we did to Andy R's car at totb and said it was much quieter, who cares if you cant open them

Try removing both panels then removing the centre metal stanchion and turning it about front to back. I had my roof of the other week and when I put it back to gether the metal bit was back to front and the noise was awful, turned it around and all is well. :)

Mine does this too. After doing the passenger window up and down about 6 times I realised it was the roof, lol.

Bit of foam, eh? :)

thats probbaly your shock absorbers or other suspension componenets. Coupes arent that flexible on the road :o

I hear mine do it when reversing off my drive! (its down a curb) I hear the door move! Same as when the car i jacked up at the front, the door wont shut properly.

You are right though, driving along a normal road you shouldnt really hear a thing! :o

I get creaking when driving along a road with slight bumps. Can hear it more with the windows down and if they're cars either side. I'm pretty sure it's the shocks. Sounds like I've got dodgy floorboards tho, lol.

yeh i am fully aware that the chassis is flexi when jacking up etc, but normal driving and manouvering you shouldnt really be hearing and major creaking from the chassis. sounds to me that your driving a boat not a coupe

I hear some sort of creaking of I'm going fast on a bumpy road, or I'm turning at high(ish) speeds, I thought it was coming from the roof though...

yeah most likely roof. Gets very rattly on a boneshaking road.
