blue alcantara

Someone on here knows where the alcantara in the Rovers, especially the blue one, is "painted"?
The reason I ask...since a few weeks, my GF has some sort of allergy. Now shw was at the doctors and itÂ´s sure the allergy is caused from the metal "cobalt".
Now I know that cobalt is often used in blue colors, and the allergy did start ca. 1 week after purchasing the 25. So now either I can proove that the blue alcantra is a paint without cobalt in it, or the 25 has to be sold. :cry:

Hmm...it seems as if I have to contact MGRover UK and Xpart, maybe some of them are willing to help me.
Just phoned up "MGRover Deutschland GmbH" but the are insolvent...only a lawyer was there to finish the buisiness of selling whatÂ´s left

I've sent an email to alcantara themselves to ask what dye they use in the manufacturing process for blue alcantara.

If they get back to me then I'll obviously let you know.

I have a friend who has exactly the same allergy, thet are allergic to cobalt and nickle, which are bolth found in the metal studs which are used in jeans! and the metal zips found on alot of clothes.

I would find it Very unlikley that metal paint flake could cause this

the alacantra seats for the mg were made by a company in coventry one of there staff has used the http://www.zrunleashed.com/forums/ i belive to sell a fair few sets of covers and has retrimed a few cars as well off there ask on there they may have an awnser
