swapped for a 106 quiksilver

Post by jimjimjeroo »

I was mortified to find out that the guy in motorworld has just swapped his tomcat for a 106 quiksilver and 500 cash!

was a good deal but still!

End of the day, its his cash he can do what he wants. Sounds like a fair trade to me. £500 plus the insurance savings nad economy of the 106, not bad deal really. Plus if you look at sale values of the 106, they are generally better than that of the 220 turbo.

106 quicksilver is the scaled down version of the GTI with an underpowered engine in (1.4 8v)

Handle well, that much is true, there is a world of stuff to modify them with, Insurance saving wouldn't be massive, car will be worth more, and crashed more (as driven by the Chav's as evryone says), replacment part costs are larger than the Rovers. AND every man and his dog has one.

PLease be different - however as Rob says Motorworld Sux :)

I showed up some chav to$$er that cut me up in one of these in the derv. He wasn't happy. :P

106 Quicksilver doesn't look too - there's one for sale at a dealer in hull (Beverley Road and Queens Road junction if any one's tempted...).

Hull seems to have more than its fair share of chavs in corsas and little french cars...

I just love it when chavs with their little chavettes in the passenger seat pull up alongside at the front of traffic lights... engine revving away.... they look so pissed off and surprised when the ti leaves them for dead! It's just sooooooo satisfying! :D :D

But when you're racing a body-kitted corsa maybe it seems fast? :?

Not too far at all! Sometimes I'm in Hedon - my girlfriend has two sets of aunties and uncles in Hedon.

Is this your car then?

If I'm right my girlfriend's antie and uncle actually live opposite you! You may have seen my silver ti parked opposite one sunday night a while back! You, or someone, was working on the coupe that night, possibly removing the seats...

Car looks very nice! :)
