i am having a really bad month

first i wack the 220 now the 214 has poped the engine well and truely. :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:

any ideas what i should buy??

engine or car??

have about £500 to fix it no more. because i have to fix the 220 as well. :(

Goto local scrap yard, engine will cost a few quid at most :)

yeh but a may be just as bad as the one i have thats why most of them round my way have been scraped.

was thinking about putting the gsi engine into her. in the mean time.

but its only an idea.

Wouldnt bother, too much hassle. Easier to go buy another car mate. 220 Turbo to 214 requires subframes etc to be swapped over. Ripping apart the loom etc.. Just loads of hassle!

buy an engine (most scrappy engines come with a return agreement) and do a full gasket change on it (easy to do with the engine out, then drop the new one in :)

if your that way inclined, get an exact same engine, rebuild it out of the car, can do a better job then, and drop it in...

otherwise for 500quid you can buy a car, fix it, and mot and tax it for 500quid...

i am actually changing the exhaust in september. to a more mot-able one.

may sell the 1 i have if its still ok at the end of august. :wink:
