Throttle body
if i remember correctly there was a brand spanking 52mm on ebay for 130 quid ish ..

48mm will go for pennies really - they're not sought after atall, they're just the basic small t/b. 52mm are very sought after so they got for sily money, 55mm i prefer and go for somewhere in the middle.

seen a 56mm on ebay. will that fit the k series ? is there actually and power gain or is it just smoothness of power delivery

I've heard the larger 56mm will make no real difference on these smaller engines, a 52mm alloy TB all the way. I've been meaning to buy one but I'm unsure on what sort of gains/improvements it will make plus I heard something about a different fuel line or something being needed.west_mids_mark wrote:seen a 56mm on ebay. will that fit the k series ? is

48mm is designed to beeasy to use and gentle - if you look at the plate in the t/b, you'll see half of it is thicker like a wedge so when you part-throttle it or are trickling along in traffic you're only using half the throttle body giving really gentle response.
52mm is a nice balance, giving better throttle response without being too on/off. Smaller engines it wont help with power but bigger engines i imagine it would help a bit with airflow at the top end - not much experience with one myself though.
55/56mm give slightly aggressive throttle response but obviously maximises airflow. It makes my car obviously quicker over about 5,500rpm over the 48mm.
