Enthusiasts yea. General Joe public no. Biggest reason MG-R went under. Not enough demand for cars causing sales to drop big time. :(

Saw a couple over in SA, a very nice TF used to go past the front door most mornings, they had a big push to make inroads into the SA market apparently, as dad was going to get himself a new 75 out there, but they went under not long after that, so they never reached the full potential out there, shame really, as apart from speedo being in KMs no different to UK spec cars bar some silly names!
