buying advice on mg zt

hi all
i have decided the stay rover/mg and looking at a mg zt 190 and was wondering what issues there is with them,also what mpg in the real world you are getting out of it.

also same if poss on mg zt diesel would be handy.

Expect 25-30 max out of the 190 and 40-45 out of the CDTi.

A tuned CDTi is the way to go my friend - 170 BHP, 300lbft and still 44MPG - now that's having your cake and eat it!!!


190's suffer from VIS valve problems and CDT cqan suffer from fuel pump/MAF issues but both are very reliable in general.

thanks for the info tried to get a diesel for the last 3 months and pretty much travelled the whole country,most where dogs with mega miles or had really horrid interior so went and bought this

its a zt190 but has full leather and sat nav full mg history and is mint,so well happy

niice. good colour choice too. The spec of those for the price, is amazing.

If memory serves, the 190 should be the 2.5 v6. My old man has a 75 with that engine, and even in the de-tuned 75 version, its silky smooth

thanks guys believe it or not its green :o

been driving all day in it today and all i can say is what a car 2.5 litres of pure joy got electric sun roof as well rear curtain,auto rear view mirror,parking sensors,electric heated seats could go on all night :D

best thing is that it keeps me with the rover/mg brand and all i paid for this was £6500!!!!!

You wanna get a stick on middle finger to fit on the sunblind, then when you get a to$$er sat on your rear you just raise the blind and give him the bird! :wink: :roflmao:
