2002 Saab 95 2.0T Quick sale needed

Post by lennox1185 »

Got a ZT coming tomorrow. It was a rush decision but I couldn't say no, so the trusted 95 needs a new home.

Basics:
2002 '52' reg
139,900 miles
MOT Feb 2014
Tax end of May 2013
Manual

Good bits:
New Turbo fitted last August with 12 months warrenty
Full spotless cream leather
New Continental Serpentine belt fitted last month after the old one became worn and slipped off.
Thermostat changed December 2012
Remapped to 220hp.

Quick history:
I've had this since February 2011, with 106k on the clock. It's been a very good car, everything works properly, I have both keys. Central locking works from fobs, boot button works. Basically everything works as it should. I've taken it across Europe twice - 2000 mile round trips, and it's been spot on. It returns 26-28mpg with normal driving and 35-40mpg on the motorway, depending on load.
The turbo gave up last summer, 2 days before I was leaving for Poland. So I had no choice but to get a new turbo from Eurocarparts and have it fitted at a local garage in Coventry, owned by my friend. So the turbo still has 5 months warranty.

Passed it's MOT a few weeks ago with the following advisories:
Both front drop links
Rear NS disc and pads need replacing
Rear OS disc and pads need replacing
OS Trailing arm bush needs replacing.

I have the drop links in the boot ready to change(will be included).

It still has the original breather kit that doesn't have issues. I needed to replace one of the hoses last year because it was split, but that's it.
The sump was dropped by my mechanic friend (the same garage that replaced the turbo) in April 2011 and it was clear. We still gave the sump a clean and made sure the pickup was clear.

Issues:
The drivers side aircon vent door has an error, so there is currently only cold air coming out of the drivers side, error 11 when doing an ACC check.
The SID shows to check oil level each time the car is started. Never known why - the oil is always fine and I can't seem to find a sensor. I was told it could be a replacement SID from a diesel model which is why it checks for oil levels, but I'm not sure.
OS fog light is broken and will need replacing.

Bodywork:
Has a few marks here and there. I won't use 'age related' marks as an excuse, because that's rubbish. There is a scratch on the bonnet, the rear drivers side door has been scraped and the petrol flap has gone rusty. The marks were all done by past owners, not me. Other than that I'd say it's 8/10, and I'm fairly fussy.

Interior is spotless. No rips or damage, no scratches or stains.

Service history:
TBC tomorrow because I can't get to the folder at the minute, but since I have owned it I have changed the oil religiously every 6 months. March 2011, September 2011, April 2012, again in August 2012 when the turbo was changed, and again 2 weeks ago.
I'm a Rover enthusiast and always care for my cars. Everybody says how nice my Saab is and how comfortable it is to be a passenger.

Despite the mileage it drives really well. It pulls well through all gears and is smooth and quiet.

I'll be sad to see it go but times change and needs change.

£800 takes it as it is. If I get chance I will change all brakes and get the drop links done, but I'll have to add another £100 if I do this.

Can't remember the code but I know it's the correct engine for the vauxhall boys.
