I think your all being a little unfair on Jimmy, each to their own when it comes to selling a car or even just gauging interest. If your genuinely interested in buying a car from someone then you'd pay your respect and do as they ask.

Jimmy had a coupe for sale back in Feb, I asked a few questions, sent him a few PM's and received the photos of the car. I later went and brought it with no major problems and was described as he mentioned.

I think it's easy to forget that each person is different and we all have different life styles off the internet. I've recently been to see Jimmy and this man has a serious busy life style at the moment with a more important project on his hands than any car so I totally understand his comments.

I'd like to think we all have bigger projects than a car, but I guess that it just me.

If you're busy then posting up pictures takes far less time than pm'ing everyone who asks.

So with those 2 comments made I see less sense in what he has said.

I've been following this thread since it started and have refrained from posting until now, but I must say I do agree with James. :)

As odd as it may seem to most people, not posting up pictures of the car to tickle our taste buds, as it were. It is his car and he has the right to go about selling it the way he sees fit. Really guys, that is his decision and it should be respected, not debated upon, no matter how much you disagree with it.

About a year or so ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Jimmy at his house to collect a rear Jap plinth for my 220 that I bought from him. I can honestly say, you couldn't wish to meet a more knowledgeable and friendly member. We chatted about his time working at Longbridge too, which for me is real kudos. 8)

Might be worth locking this thread, it's already gone massively ot, and is likely to degenerate into a slanging match

You're either in the market to buy a car or not, serious people would have pm'd me,and how many turned up to view, none. Yes,typical forum goers, want everything for next to thing. You're welcome to an opinion,I accept that, there's a time for everything. Just because you guys put a value on on anything rover that doesn't mean that's all its worth.
Some of you guys really need to grow the bother up. No doubt you'll find more stupid comments to throw around this post, because that's what you do.
I am also experiencing this from some of the regulars. They just don't stop. My thread is the most popular one on here now with 94 comments. I bet one of them comes on, sees a thread that involves selling or breaking a rover, texts all their keyboard gangster friends and pounce on the thread until it gets too much.

Tbf to Jimmy he had his reasons to not want to put any pics up. Personally maybe not the best thing to do when trying to sell a car but hey that's his choice. Tbf it's tour choice you've decided to break a BRM however the way your commenting on your own thread and the title you've given it just shouts out to everyone TROLL.
:sorry: for going on I'm boring myself with it now but people like you I just can't seem to just ignore. I know your here on a wind up and tbh your succeeding quite well, (With me anyway) and I'm not a massive BRM fan

Didn't get any time wasters at least
Maybe that's the reason for his method but why not just say so?

Or he has a car on stands with lots of shiny expensive parts and doesn't want to advertise its location on a public forum? Being (presumably) Birmingham this is understandable, all be it a bit paranoid. Personally I think old photos of the car in another location and a spec list would have been perfectly sufficient to draw in any serious buyers, and I'll add that this is perfectly possible on the forums - seen people buy mint cars at the high end of the price spectrum several times on here over the years.
