Post by Scott »

** Not interested in swaps or offers, just cash... Whatever you have, keep it to yourself, i am not noel edmonds, i do not want to swap this for anything other than cash **

Far too much to list, but ill sumarise breifly to guage interest.

1991 registered 820turbo 16v (H reg).
just under 80k miles

MOT until OCT
tax until SEP 30th
only 2 prev real owners, me last 5 years, i bought it from a mayor , who owned it the 11 years prior from 6months old (4 on log book)

Good points:
M16 turbo engine, fitted with klinger 3 years ago along with new valve guides/cambelt/all belts etc (15k miles ago).
recent filter/oil/plugs/cap/arm/leads/coolant/thermostat/god knows what else...
numerous new bits and bobs over the years, inc metal pipes, stebtek brakcet, etc.
brand new headlights and rear clusters just a couple of months ago
3 decent tyres, 1 on backwards as it was the spare, spare is flat/punctured?
forge twin piston DV, DV blanking plate, gbe evo boost controller...
Full leather interior, electric windows and mirrors (heated) (almost all working!), electric sunroof.
Remote central locking (infra red).
brand new exhaust front to back in OCT, cat insides removed.
new front brake caliper for last MOT, and rear wheel bearing.
6cd multichanger, nokia wireless car kit ck7w

bad points:
manifold a bit cracked (Spare included), not MOT fail.
inner track rod ball joints have play, both inner and outer included for both sides. expect fail next mot.
juddering under heavy braking, could be the track rod ends?
few dents here and there, rust starting to appear around sunroof.
dented bonnet, and bumper sagging.

Lots of spares like wheels, pipes, filters, etc

ill upload some pictures later on tonight... Feel free to add me to MSN if you are interested...

Offers in the region of £700.

Sad to see your selling her.
If i had the cash i'd give her a new home but funds ( and just buying my first house) say no.

Whoever buys the car is in for a treat , Its stunning.
Thats 2 Tickfords now in as many weeks and mine isn't on the road yet.

Couple of pics taken atop the white horse hill:

http://www.rover-resource.co.uk/820pics/28062008048.jpg

Car was rolling roaded ages ago at 216bhp / 231ftlb, and that was with the cat intact.

list of parts that are newer than expected are:

new genuine rover rad 3 years ago.
new indicator and number plates
halfrods chrome pipe trims.
front pads also done at last MOT (discs werent though)

Any offer considered, dont have time to fix the niggles (which are just the steering arms (inclduded with sale), one rusty coolant pipe, and the sagging bumper, and the sticky mirror motors), and it will only go down in value sitting on the drive...

So come on peeps, your chance to own the first turbocharged rover!

You've not given a reason why you're selling her. I am tempted but can't afford to run two cars and I can't get rid of Stella, it just wouldn't be right. :(

im selling because i dont have space to work on the car anymore, i house share, and a 15 foot barge is a pain in the arse for all concerned, and a hedge prevents me from cleaning/fixing one side of the car.

combined with a promotion and more working hours, there just isnt time to do it justice.

quite why people dont snap them up i dont know... if it was a vitesse itd be sold now at that price?

its retro cool, thats what i tell myself, it has presence, white is coming back as a colour for new cars aswell!!!

its large, fast, cheap, what more could you want?

Why no more Rovers Scott? They make for a cheap fast far. There are plenty of late model zr and zs's about that don't need much work done.

Fine big, comfy cheap to run bus, looked very respectable in the pics you put up when you got it. I felt the same going from a nice clean immaculate Celica to the 400 diesel, am well accuntomed to the 400 now though. Cheap cheap motoring.
