What mods has it got to get it to 230/240bhp? What "remap" is on the ECU? What turbo is on there now? What size is the exhaust?

In that case RTG, I would remind you that it's good form to explicitly state when linking to your own ebay auctions that it is indeed your own goods for sale which you are touting. Also I feel that although Emp's questions are loaded, they are reasonable ones, and you don't help yourself by giving the facetious answers you did.
I think his questions serve a useful purpose here, because in my opinion if you use Rovertech to attract potential customers from the forum community, it is natural to expect that members of that community may feel obligated to protect others who are less informed from making a decision based on misleading, incomplete, or inaccurate advertising.

Ok, understood.
So if you have upgraded the turbo, is it a T28 of some sort - instead of the standard Garrett T25?

The turbo is a garret t25 with the internals of a t28 if that makes sence, a mate had one on his coupe and said it was better than the t28 he had. so gave that a go and must say im quite impressed, but never having a t28 on a coupe i cant really say i know the difference.

Thats kool mate, the kit has always been marmite for people, ( love or hate )

when the turbo went had a blade went into the engine, i was VERY VERY lucky not to have damaged a piston or even fu*ked the engine. The garage found the blade and removed it plus cheaked for anything else that could be wrong but there is/was nothing, so i was lucky indeed lol Id have hated to sell her in bits

I smell a rat. If a turbine wheel falls off it goes out the ehxuast. If a compressor wheel falls off, as you describe, it can't pass through the intercooler. :?

a rat? how?

The turbo melted and part of a blade broke then went into the engine, how is that hard to understand :? :? the garage said i was very unlucky for it to go the way it did, ie in the engine and not out the exhaust, but at the same time was lucky to get away with only a bent valve, like ive stated ive got the quote & all info printed up from the garage when i payed.

Would take a lot of rattling and jiggling about before it got to the engine, I think you might notice it before it ever got anywhere approaching leaving intercooler if it was possible.

yea noticed it awhile back, problem was a mate said he would sort it for me and had no other way to get it to him so had to drive it, so drove the car all the way to swindon with it running like a bag of crap then he turns out he didnt have the time when i arrived ( so gave him a kick lol ) and had to take the car all the way home and it got worse from there, not to mention had to drive it to the garage which diddnt help.

how long has this been for sale???

can you justify your buy it now price? it seems very high for something that is not running right and needs attention, as i'm looking for a turbo coupe again and this is the more expensive than fdh's i've seen recently.

He doesn't have to justify it... either someone will buy it, in which case he's justified it, or nobody will, in which case he'll either be stuck with it, or reduce the price. Free market economy :-) Entirely his decision, entirely his problem. It's more than I'd pay, but he wasn't asking for our advice :-)
Had two Rover 220 Turbo Coupes: one (Tahiti blue) from 1999 until 2001, the other (charcoal) from 2002 until 2014.

Heavily modified cars are very much a niche market, however if he holds out the right buyer might well stumble across it. IIrc this is probably the worst time of the year to sell a car as we approach Chrimbo, and combine that with the credit crunch.
