220 SdI turbo diesel nightfire red £600 ono. Sold!

right time has come for my mum to change cars.. so here we have a

N reg Rover 220SdI bubble [intercooled version]
mileage [alltho not correct due to having Mg clocks fitted at some point in its life] :- 88000
Mot :- october 7th 2009
Tax:- till september 2009
body work is in reasonable condition with the odd "woman" mark as i call them [carpark dings and scrapes]
full ectrics remote Cl, electric front windows + sunroof [all working perfectly]
half cow

Mods :-
tu1 box fitted [adjustable on boost fueling and adjustable off boost fueling]
decat
GBE-D evo valve fitted
as mentined before Mg clocks fitted from a diesel ZR
half leather interior fitted from a 2 door car [not sure why] so the front seats tilt forwards [just incase you fancied being adventerous and not using the back doors]

this car was mine before i sold it to her and only ever let me down once due to a wiring bodge by the previous owner. i ran this car on VEG oil for 4-5 months with absoutly no problems however my mum has only ever run it on diesel. in my ownership all the breakdiscs/pads were changed for new, also the fabled breaking boot lock on the bubbles has been replaced

the car passed its mot late last year needing only 2 CV boots which i fitted myself and then it passed with colours.

bad points
carpark dings/scrapes.
the car has had kids in the back so its a bit dirty but ill give it a proper clean out before it goes.
the dash has also been bodged by a previous owner where he has attempted to fit a boostguage with what looks like a sledge hammer, [pics available on request] [pics added]

this is a brilliant little car, there when ever you need it and guaranteed to start everytime, if it werent for the coupe i would have bought it back from her

please note if the asking price is met i will give you all my VEG oil kit, filters, tank etc to go with the car.

car is located junction 25 of the m25 but have no problems traveling to a buyer. However obviously im not gonna bring the car to you just to have a look :)

Hi mate.

I only said about location so people can come to see the car. I certainly would not expect a seller to bring the car round once sold. Let alone to just see the car.

Any chance, if you want via PM, show me a picture of the sledgehammer?

Any reason why it would fail the next MOT? Does it need a cat fitted?

hi mate. Diesels dont require a cat as they arent tested for emissions, only for smoke so just turn the tu1 down a little before the test and its fine. I will take a pic of the dash today after work as the car is at my parents. On the last mot there was no advisorys so no reason at all to fail but i will give it a proper look over for you/anyother interested partys this afternoon. Steve

If it helps, the car also had the timing belt and tensioners done two years ago, along with a new oil pump. True mileage should be about 122k by now, clocks were from a diesel ZR.

Seats are from a 3 door ZR as, well, they came up for sale very cheap just down the road from me, so it was a cheap way to get half leather! Its actually weirdly useful, as you can pop the passenger seat forward if carrying bulky things in the back. ;)

Very dependable and nippy little car, if I had £600 laying around, I'd buy it back like a shot, as it's one of the cars I most regret selling, as it was great fun to drive, yet cost absolutely nothing to run. Don't suppose she's after an automatic 75? :lol:

Dash sledgehammerage was me! :oops:

Didn't realist how brittle the dash was when using a fine hacksaw, it just ripped it to bits. :P Had boost problems, so hashed the gauge in quickly, and sold the car before I had the chance to tidy up and make a permanent fitting for it.

updated!. had the car up in the air today after work cant find a single problem with her... will make its next owner happy for a long time to come

I'll get in touch with the 2 party's I think will be interested. See how much cash they have and get some insurance quotes.

Though them being youngsters (21), might be quite high for them. :(
