Lotus elise Turbo T series

Post by phil.s »

Well the time has come.....

I have decided to sell up. we have just had our little baby girl and to be honest I have lost interest/dont have the time to spend with the car any more really.

Car Spec:

1998 (S) S1 Elise
Titanium
Blue Soft Top
Lotus power front splitter
Black rear stone guards
Carbon fibre side scoops
Victory Alloys
Koni height adjustable suspension (low)
EBC Grooved and dimpled discs all round
EBC yellowstuff pads
New hankook RS2 tyres

44,600 miles
MOT until March 2011
Tax until end of Nov 2010
Garaged

Interior Spec:

S2 Grey Seats
Black sill pads
Plastic rear window
Alloy bits n bobs
Fire extinguisher
Passenger footrest
Gizmo programmable boost controller
Omex rev limiter with launch control (nice if you find yourself in mcdonalds - never used the launch myself but the limiter is good).
Oil temp gauge
Boost gauge
CD Player

Engine Spec:

Image

T series turbo engine (installed at 42180 miles)
Rebuilt with new shells, piston rings, seals.
Reconditioned cylinder head with klinger gasket (no oil leak)
All new seals and gaskets
Reconditioned t25 Turbo
All silicone hoses
Standard T series ECU
Magnecor Leads
Dump valve
Charge cooler
Remote oil filter and cooler
Oil catch tank
Davies craig electric water pump
820 gearbox with torsen type B LSD
Custom 2.5" Heat wrapped exhaust
Should easily be pushing 200BHP+ at 12psi (not had it dyno'd) - its bloody quick!
No heat issues as the engine bay is heat protected to nasa standards!

And NO the handling has not been jepordised!

Bad bits:

The paint work on the car is not immaculate and has the following flaws:

* Stone chips in the usual places
* Scuff on rear nearside wheel arch
* Scuff on nearside drivers mirror.
* Chips around rear spoiler (clam got scuffed)

No major structural issues just pure paint work. I am going to get the scuffs and rear spoiler repaired (already quoted just need to get a date booked) but if you aren't worried about concours looking paint work then I'll just knock a couple of hundred quid off the price. This is a perfect car for driving to, belting round and driving back from trackdays with the knowledge it out performed most other cars on the day!! Apart from the paintwork Everytrhing else is perfect.

looking for around 10k but open to sensible offers. PM if you're interested

Phil
