Good luck with the sale, its a very clean and tidy Coupe, everything nice and tight, no rattles or anything. Just let down by a coolant airlock from hell

How can you be so sure its 100% not headgasket ?

Slow to start, over heating etc.. all pretty common for a headgasket leak.

Slow starting is the MEMS2 coils getting damp, had this myself this time last year only much, much worse than on this car.

Sounds to me like the liners have sunk? causing air from the bores to get into the coolant system. If it keeps pressurising due to airlock theres obviously air getting in somewhere.

That is worst case scenario. Im not trying to mock your inteligence but what sequence did you bleed the system in?

er stefan probably best person to ask drained system , refilled with coolant flush and water ran up , drained system , then refiled with water and second stage coolant flush and hit bingo . then drained and refilled with coolant and bled perfectly copy book bleeding on a k series appereantly !! then hr later went beers up

you're telling me mate. this corsa i got now failed its mot today due to 3 snapped springs. i got spares but i need to find somewhere to fit them thats dry.

Had loads of interest seems to be the price i totally agree about wanting a reliable car one of the reasons its up for sale as i need to get to work STRESS FREE , but she does seem to be behaving herself all week i may be giving away a bargin Only wish it get looked after would love it to go to a good owner , for 6 months she was a blast and ubber reliabable its just since the thermost was replaced after being siezed open shes hasnt been the same since SEFIK
