I have posted the ad on gumtree but thought i'd give you a shout on here, here's the ad:Here i have for sale a Rover 214SEi. This car was owned by a friends grandad since new so i know the mileage to be genuine. I bought this from him for my sister to learn to drive in but she has now changed her mind so the car is surplus to requirement. Mechanically the car seems sound. It had a new backbox fitted and a full service in preperation for my sister using it. It starts and runs fine, but i will now list the plus and minus points as i see them:
Negatives:
Bodywork; i would describe this as a bit tired. Its not the worst i've seen but has a few areas that need tidying (small rust blisters, a few parking dings, etc). The alloys could also do with a tidy up and inside there is a bit of wear on the drivers bolster and carpet at side of drivers seat. (carpet wear due to storage of walking stick beside seat), no tax/mot.
Positive:
Genuine low mileage of under 35,000 miles
Recent service and new exhaust backbox
Half leather, alloys, elecric windows, sunroof
So to summarise: This car is for spares or repairs mainly due to its age and needing a bit of cosmetic work. I don't want to scrap the car and would rather see it go to a new home, so have listed it at a price where i could sell the wheels and weigh the rest in for scrap.
