Either one wants to sell it or they don't will struggle to find someone to buy something they have not even seen.

Re: Genuine 220 Gti Turbo.....
I think the seller isn't really wanting to sell. Otherwise why wouldn't you post up pics? Having a POA approach to something like a vintage bugatti may work (but even then I'd post up some pics) but a rover turbo?
No longer for sale.
I've been on rovertech long enough to know you're able to turn any post into a debate. That's without all the clever people telling others what something is worth.
Already bored of time wasters.
I'll finish the car.
A magazine has already expressed an interest to feature the car, once done, it'll go up for sale

Re: Genuine 220 Gti Turbo.....
One saying they been here long enough will also know nothing sells without a picture.
It's a Rover we all know what they look like so why the secrecy must be a real special one to keep it hidden.
This a totally pointless thread you put something up for sale people express and interest but they not allowed pictures that's on par with the invisible three piece suite on ebay
So you won't show people who are interested in buying it but you will have it slapped all over a magazine

|Jimmy can't you just tickle our tackle, give us a thrill, and post up some pictures?
Buying or not I think many people would like to see the car just out of interest and to admire tbh.
Alternately..how much for the Koni suspension?

Vainty is what I'd call it. Or hoping for a massively unrealistic price because of the magazine feature?

A magazine feature won't make it worth a load more money.

Re: No longer for sale.
I tried to keep my comments to myself, sorry guys finally had enough. Do you guys have nothing better to do that slate peoples posts? You all really need to get a life, sat behind the key board giving it large, yeah that's brave. Over the years I've seen it time and time again.
You're either in the market to buy a car or not, serious people would have pm'd me,and how many turned up to view, none. Yes,typical forum goers, want everything for next to thing. You're welcome to an opinion,I accept that, there's a time for everything. Just because you guys put a value on on anything rover that doesn't mean that's all its worth.
Some of you guys really need to grow the bother up. No doubt you'll find more stupid comments to throw around this post, because that's what you do.

Re: No longer for sale.
Look mate I actually was biting my tongue but you've had your 2 pence so here's mine.
You will not get interest on a car with no pics. It really is that simple. You will also find that most forums will remove adds that do not put pics up of the items they are selling.
I don't get the awkwardness of you not wanting to put up a few pics of a car YOU are selling. And you say about no one turning up to view it??? Why would you when you've not even seen a pic of it. A picture tells a big story and will increase anything for sale be it a car or a part.
I'm sorry but you've only yourself to blame for the comments people have made on your thread.

Re: No longer for sale.
Not a case of wanting things for nothing but people want to see what they are potentially buying. I for one am not afraid of spending but at the same time I like to see what I'm buying the same as anyone else.
As for the hiding behind a keyboard I would say exactly the same in person who in there right mind going to show any interest in something they have not seen any for sale add normally contains pictures even cars that are 250'000 have pictures so a grand or so worth of Rover is hardly to special for pictures.

Nor do I appreciate all the stupid comments/jokes. I'm not sure what you find so hard to understand, genuine buys would have pm'd and arranged a viewing. If you wish you display what your selling all over the net and have random people come to view, fair enough. If he car was running, different matter as I would be able to meet at a desired location. Re: No longer for sale.
selling a car with no pictures invites stupid comments/jokes so if you want someone to have a go at for everyone making a joke of your thread, get in front of your favourite mirror and do some finger wagging.
And as for complaining that no one came to view the car...
I recently broke a t series maestro. I listed all the parts (with pictures :
wink: ) and put them up for the prices I wanted and stuck to the prices. No the didn't sell quickly but good quality parts always sell. Nothing sells without pictures, unless you are selling words, but then even a book needs a cover.

Re: No longer for sale.
You talk about genuine buyers would want to view a car with no pics. Er no let's get it right, genuine sellers would put a few pics up. I'm not saying you are but someone who doesn't want to show there car in my experience are hiding something. This is what people will be thinking and why you've had no interest.Jimmy wrote:Nor do I appreciate all the stupid comments/jokes. Re: No longer for sale.
I for one would also not go to view a car in a car park or somewhere like that and buy it I go to the address which should also match the address the car is registered to if the seller won't allow me to go to an address they have something to hide so ill go buy somewhere else and buy they are basic selling guidelines.

Re: No longer for sale.
I'm scratching my head trying to work out what you are on about here? There is a time for everything? I don't recall anyone even talking about the value, why would they, it can only be the sum of parts anyway.Jimmy wrote:Yes,typical forum goers, want everything for next to thing. A little more time and thought and you won't keep looking like the fool.
Is this back up for sale yet?
